Privacy Policy
Last updated 11 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Laminar Flow collects through the website, the product, and the Laminar Flow Discord app, and how we use it. We operate from Brisbane, Australia.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Laminar Flow, we may collect:
- Account details, such as your name, email address, organisation, and login identifiers.
- Content you submit, such as project material, documents, and messages you send to the product.
- Discord app data. When you use the Laminar Flow Discord app, for example the /ask command, we receive your Discord user ID, the channel ID, and the text of your command so we can generate a reply and post it back in Discord. We do not ask Discord for your email address, password, or friends list.
- Contact messages you send us through the site or by email.
- Technical data, such as IP address, browser type, and cookies needed to keep you signed in or to remember a site preview session.
How we use it
We use this information to:
- provide, secure, and improve the service
- answer commands sent to the Discord app
- respond to contact and support requests
- meet legal obligations
Content you submit, including a Discord command, may be sent to an AI model provider so we can generate a reply. We do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- service providers that host the product, send email, or supply AI models, under their own confidentiality and security duties
- Discord, when we post a reply back to the channel where you used the app
- people in your organisation who already have access to the relevant workspace
- authorities, when the law requires it
How long we keep it
We keep account and project information while the workspace is active and for a limited time afterwards so we can complete backups, resolve disputes, and meet legal duties. Discord command text is used to produce the reply. Operational logs may keep technical details of a request for a limited period so we can secure and debug the service.
Security and location
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
We are based in Australia. Hosting, email, and AI providers may process information in other countries. Where they do, we take steps that are reasonable in the circumstances to protect it.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. If the information sits in an organisation’s workspace, we may need to refer the request to that organisation’s admin. You can also stop using the Discord app, and a server admin can remove it.
The service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page will change when we do.
